For the next 10 years, the National Directory of Higher Education Programs in Prison remained a central focus of the Prison Studies Project and an important resource for the higher education in prison community.
In 2019, the Prison Studies Project partnered with the Alliance for Higher Education in Prison to centralize the data collected and support the Alliance's efforts to expand the field of higher education in prison. Today, working with our partners at the Prison Studies Project at Harvard University, the Research Collaborative on Higher Education in Prison at the University of Utah and the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley, the Alliance maintains the National Directory of Higher Education in Prison Programs—the most comprehensive resource in the United States for people seeking information about national college in prison programs.
The data included in the National Directory of Higher Education in Prison Programs is gathered through the National Survey of Higher Education in Prison Programs.Survey opens March 19
