The American Institutes for Research (AIR) is serving as a partner to Ascendium Education Group to better understand the most pressing, or “high-leverage” technical assistance needs among prison education programs (PEPs). AIR is especially interested in learning more about your experience designing and implementing PEPs that can best and most equitably serve students while incarcerated and post-release.  

To identify and scale resources that address these needs, AIR is conducting “needs sensing” focus groups with a wide range of PEP leaders and staff in early April 2024. During these 90-minute virtual focus groups, AIR will ask about your most pressing needs and challenges, and what you see as critical gaps in knowledge, resources, and tools in your program or the field. More information about these focus groups is included in the information sheet.
