STOP THE STIGMA Conference at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU)!!!

Project AIM is an initiative at SNHU with the mission to provide an educational pathway for incarcerated learners. We are in our third year of hosting STOP THE STIGMA, organized completely by current SNHU students. Our goal is to spread awareness to the community at large on the challenges faced by justice impacted individuals. The conference provides a space to discuss issues related to transportation, employment, housing, and educational opportunities. The event takes March 28-30, 2024 at Southern New Hampshire University. Specific location details to come.

We will feature presenters who will speak to three very important issues regarding our mission of STOP THE STIGMA -- legal/judicial, where you will hear from lawyers, judges, and others in the legal field regarding the stigma justice impacted individuals face. Directly impacted individuals will present about their experiences with the legal system, incarceration, and experiences outside in the community. Finally, our education track will feature speakers who will highlight some issues regarding incarceration and education. We will also have speakers from SNHU, including students taking BUS-225! Keep an eye out for e-mails highlighting our speakers!

An Awards Ceremony/Banquet will be hosted, honoring community members and businesses that have extended their support for justice impacted individuals and helping stop the stigma. Dinner will be catered and registration for this will come in a separate form later.

Registration for this event is FREE. The purpose of this form is to gauge interest from the community. We are working on figuring out capacity needs both virtually and in person. If you would like to attend in person, there will be hotel accommodations available (information to come on this at a later date). Southern New Hampshire University is in the beautiful, bustling city of Manchester! Come experience the East Coast at its finest!
