We are thrilled to announce that the 13th NCHEP will be held in-person in Atlanta, GA, November 9-11, 2023.
The theme that will frame this year's NCHEP is: Close the Distance.
The Alliance for Higher Education in Prison seeks to challenge the field of higher education in prison to think about the various ways in which we can use education to close the distance - between the inside and the outside, between each other, between career opportunities, between social mobility, between people and their families and communities, between access to resources, between safe and secure housing, between college inside a prison and college on a campus in the free world. There are endless ways in which education can be used to close distances, and NCHEP 2023 will encourage us to examine these ways together as a community. The official NCHEP invitation for proposals is coming soon. Stay tuned, and in the meantime, if you work with students in a higher education in prison program, please take the survey on Zoom access below!
