The Alliance for Higher Education in Prison is supported by a growing team of staff and volunteers dedicated to expanding quality higher education in prison, empowering students in prison and after release, and shaping public discussion about education and incarceration.
The Alliance is committed to embedding equity and inclusion in our network and within our team. As a new organization, we are striving to do this in a variety of ways, including but not limited to: Increasing educational access for all students, including people who have traditionally been excluded from such opportunities; challenging the existing equity gaps in educational access based on race/ethnicity and/or class status; centering our work around leadership development of people who have been impacted by the criminal-justice system; and ensuring that our team, at every level, includes people directly impacted by the criminal justice system and people who have historically been excluded from access to higher education.
The Alliance for Higher Education in Prison Jobs Board is the only source solely dedicated to jobs and career information for people seeking to work in the field of higher education in prison. Whether you are seeking employment, internship or volunteer opportunities, or you are trying to recruit national talent to your college/university or community organization, the Alliance for Higher Education in Prison Jobs Board is a valued resource.
