Join the Alliance for Higher Education in Prison July 26, 2022 at 10amPT/1pmET for our next Community Conversation: What is To Be Done? Areas of Future Data Collection and Research with students from the Alabama Prison Arts + Education Program at Auburn University. This conversation was originally intended for the 11th NCHEP but was cancelled due to COVID-related lockdowns.

Panelists shared, "As individuals with firsthand experience in higher education in prison, we know directly that devoting time and resources to higher education in prison programs produces long-term and short-term benefits for those inside and out. While this may be common knowledge for current and former students, program directors, teachers, activists, scholars, and other community members at this conference; research and data collection is still limited or in the beginning stages."
