Completing the Paper 2023-24 FAFSA with Students Who Are Incarcerated

Financial Aid advising is an essential component of Prison Education Programs (PEPs). Many PEPs rely on the paper FAFSA when serving students who are incarcerated. During this webinar, we will walk through the FAFSA completion process with both financial aid administrators and prison program administrators, highlighting the form's questions that are more complex to address. We will also talk about the methods for processing those paper FAFSAs. Both financial aid teams and prison program administrators will join the conversation and welcome your questions.

Financial aid administrators, program directors, and coordinators for Second Chance Pell programs or soon-to-be Prison Education Programs (or PEPs) are invited to attend.

Please note that you do not have to be a NASFAA member or pay to attend this webinar. NASFAA is working to ensure that resources related to prison education programs are free and not restricted to members only, with support from a generous grant from Ascendium Education Group. To register for this webinar, please click here. Even though you do not need a NASFAA membership to participate, you will be prompted to create a free account in order to register.
