Ashland University seeks adjunct faculty to teach the basic course in the Department of Communication Studies face-to-face during the Summer 2023 semester inside a correctional facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and commitment to helping students earn an associate or bachelor’s degree while incarcerated. Instructor is responsible for creating an engaging classroom experience and meaningful assessments of learning following a master syllabus. Teaching includes designing classroom activities, assessments, completing reports for attendance, training on learning platforms, and posting final grades.

They will also be expected to maintain a positive and respectful relationship with students, staff, and administrators at both the university and correctional facilities. Adjunct faculty will need to participate in required training conducted by Ashland University and the correctional facility. Classes meet once a week Monday thru Friday in either the morning, afternoon, or evening.
