The Cornell Prison Education Program (CPEP) supports a multi-institutional collaboration that provides a college education to people incarcerated in four prisons near Cornell University. CPEP is dedicated to supporting incarcerated students’ academic ambitions and supporting these students/alumni for successful re-entry. We see this work as a manifestation of Ezra Cornell’s commitment to founding an institution where “any person can find instruction in any study.”
Under the direction of the Executive Director, CPEP seeks an Associate Director of Reentry, to develop and provide innovative and targeted interventions to improve post-release outcomes for incarcerated students upon parole release.
Key Responsibilities:
Must be comfortable working with incarcerated and recently incarcerated clientele. Position requires regular travel to prisons in nearby cities and occasional trips to New York City and flexibility in work schedule, including the possibility of evening hours. TB test is required.
