This position is located in Salt Lake City at the Utah Department of Corrections. New hire placement in the pay range is typically below the mid-point, however will be determined commensurate with qualifications and experience. Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
• Four (4) years related experience in the field.
• Must have demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and instill industry-related concepts and skills
• Must have critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in navigating a computer and basic computer functions.
• Ability to foster a productive learning environment.
• Must be able to deliver instruction in a variety of methods and produce instructional outcomes.
• Must have proven ability to lead, including the ability to act as an advocate for the College in all partnerships.
• Must meet all Utah Department of Corrections background, security, and clearance requirements and maintain eligibility for continued access to correctional facilities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Utah Department of Corrections security clearance throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary training preferred.
• Prior teaching experience and teaching credentials preferred.
