Edmonds College: Corrections Education Navigator at Monroe Correctional Complex

The Navigator is responsible for creating pathways for incarcerated students in adult basic education, vocational, and academic programs, as well as supporting those who are seeking employment/education services upon release into the community. The Navigator will assist Edmonds College incarcerated students in identifying a clear educational pathway and support the student through completion of their educational credential. Support services might include assisting students in continuing  their education upon release from prison; accessing financial aid and scholarship fundings; navigating Pell Grant funding and Washington College Grant; assisting education graduates in job search and referrals related to their training and qualifications; developing living-wage, high demand job opportunities for students  by working directly with employers who are interested in hiring formerly justice-involved individuals across (3) prison facilities at the Monroe Correctional Complex.

This is a full-time position located in Monroe, WA, schedule Monday-Friday from 0700-1530. The salary range is $39,528 - $44,412 annually for a twelve-month work schedule with progressive increases to $52,776 annually plus a full state benefits package, which includes tuition waivers for college classes, medical, dental, retirement options, and more. The vacation and leave package includes 12 sick days per year, 10 scheduled holidays, 1 personal holiday, 2 personal leave days, and 14 vacation days per year (incremental increases to 24 vacation days per year).
