For The People: Graduate Policy Fellowship

FTP seeks a passionate and driven second-year policy graduate student to serve as a part-time (10-20 hours per week) Policy Fellow for 12-15 weeks during the fall semester of 2022. This position is open to all second-year (or third-year and beyond) students enrolled in a Master of Public Policy, Master of Public Administration, or comparable program. For students in graduate programs that require a final policy analysis project as a graduation requirement in their final semester, this part-time position has the possibility to extend into the spring semester of 2023 as such a project, with For The People as the client.

The Policy Fellow will report to the Senior Policy Associate at FTP. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a collaborative team that is focused on helping facilitate change within DA offices, reducing the number of people involved in our juvenile and adult criminal justice systems, improving conditions for those who remain incarcerated, providing meaningful opportunities for success for those rejoining our communities, and shaping criminal justice policies to help build a better justice system in California and beyond.
