Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced consultant to support the final development of a Higher Education In- and Post-Prison Peer Support Toolkit. The consultant will work with our team to synthesize our completed literature review, along with materials gathered through site visits and stakeholder interviews, to create a comprehensive, accessible, and user-friendly resource. This includes developing a clear content framework, organizing findings into actionable guidance, and preparing a companion presentation that communicates key insights and recommendations. All work must reflect and center the voices of lived experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze all existing source materials, including interview transcripts, site visit notes, and the literature review.
- Develop a detailed outline and thematic content framework for the toolkit. Organize and synthesize content to ensure logical flow, accessibility, and alignment with intended audiences.
- Draft and revise toolkit content in collaboration with project leads, subject matter experts, and peer advisors.
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback to ensure the final content authentically reflects lived experience.
- Prepare toolkit content for handoff for the layout and design process.
- Participate in weekly virtual check-ins and provide timely progress updates.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience developing toolkits, curricula, or comparable resource projects. Strong systems thinking and process-design skills.
- Exceptional synthesis and writing abilities. Familiarity with peer support, behavioral health, or reentry-related fields (preferred).
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Deliverables
- Draft Toolkit Content – Complete content package ready for the design/layout phase.
- Synthesis Process Summary – Brief documentation of the methodology used to integrate and align all source materials.
- Progress Reporting – Weekly written status updates and attendance at no more than one virtual meeting per week.
- Presentation – A concise, well-designed presentation highlighting the toolkit’s key findings and recommendations.
