Dr. Laura Manyweather brings over 25 years of Private, Public and Nonprofit experience to contracting agencies and partners. Dr. Manyweather earned her degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis on Social Justice from California State University Long Beach. Laura's research focuses on Critical Race Theory, the Prison Industrial Complex, and Black males in Higher Education. Her scholarship aims to affect policy and to shift the negative and pervasive paradigm that some faculty and private employers tend to hold toward formerly incarcerated individuals. She developed the Reentry Success Pathway Program at West Los Angeles College, and currently she is an Associate Professor in Business at Los Angeles Community College District.
