Decarceration: The Role of Law School Clinics

University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law Clinical Law Program and the Journal of Race, Religion, Gender and Class will co-host a symposium regarding the following:


Roles of law school clinics
Working in partnerships with others
Representing incarcerated people in release proceedings
Proposing and supporting decarceration reforms which reduces prison populations


The Journal will publish selected papers of those who participate. The event will help mark the 50th year celebration of clinical education at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
