New York University Prison Education Program: Correctional Facility Program Administrator

The New York University Prison Education Program and the College of Arts and Science is seeking a dedicated Correctional Facility Program Administrator to join the Prison Education Program team. This individual will develop and implement an Associate’s Degree Program offered to approximately 50 incarcerated students enrolled at Wallkill Correctional Facility. Oversee program’s daily operations and time-sensitive communications with correctional staff and current students. Coordinate project-based work including college admissions, student life programming, purchasing of instructional materials, volunteer supervision, and transportation to prison, faculty course support, and degree completion. Maintain academic student records, student handbooks and materials, and develop a system for program evaluation. Assist re-entry program administrator and correctional counselors with support services for students transitioning home. Consult with the New York State Department of Corrections, New York Consortium for Higher Education in Prisons, and senior leadership at NYU to develop best practices and find solutions for operating quality higher education programs within prisons.
