The Research Collaborative on Higher Education in Prison at the University of Utah is hiring an hourly position to work on research projects in the field of higher education in prison. This position will join a team of researchers examining various aspects of college-in-prison, including the landscape of higher education in prison, the use of criminal histories in college admissions, pedagogy and praxis in prison, and related issues.

Primary Responsibilities include: 

• Provide leadership for final phases of a nationwide qualitative research project. This includes reviewing literature and existing research designs, analyzing and interpreting qualitative and descriptive data, preparing written summaries of results for scholarly and policy/practice audiences, and disseminating and translating research in multiple venues.
• Support and provide leadership for project management activities, including developing and maintaining research procedures and timelines, supporting data management, communicating with stakeholders, supporting technology needs, supervising student researchers, and ensuring IRB compliance.
• Facilitate weekly team meetings via Zoom to provide updates on data analysis and progress.
