South Seattle College is seeking a Justice Involved Solutions (JIS) Program Manager will provide critical administrative task, contract management, and oversight of a JIS programing to increase the college’s capacity to serve current and formerly incarcerated students as well as development of college and community collaborations that support the program goals. Ensuring that the JIS program is a core part of the College’s persistence and completion strategy for justice involved students. The JIS Program Manager will take a key leadership role for the program operations, budgeting, and resources to ensure program effectiveness and that performance expectations are met.

Salary range for this role is $53,115.93 - $69,743.31 annually, depending on experience. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding.
What you will be working on:
Program Leadership
- Collaborate with Justice Involved staff on the creation of new initiatives that will improve access and support to current and formerly incarcerated students in alignment with the college’s strategic goals
- Collaborate with Justice Involved staff, community-based organizations, reentry resource groups, Department of Corrections, and other reentry entities on behalf of transitioning students to ensure student transition and retention
- Convene, facilitate, and develop an environment and community at South Seattle College that serve to enhance Justice Involved students and alumni experience and advocate for current and formerly incarcerated students
- Hire, train, supervise, and mentor hourly staff, work-study, &/or student volunteers
Budget, Contracts, and Grant Management
- Oversee budget and expenditure tracking, reporting, development, and reconciliation; prepare and assist in the preparation and compilation of financial, purchasing, and inventory reports; manage, organize, and maintain physical and electronic files for the President's Office while maintaining confidentiality; monitor personal services contracts and all travel related documents.
- Monitoring spending patterns and implementing measures to promote adherence to budgets
- Determining organizational finance capacities, calculating financial constraints, and approving budget strategies
- Analyze financial information and process (e.g., invoicing, expenditures, and revenues) for ensuring that all operations remain within budget
- Providing financial analysis and strategic input to facilitate high-level decision making by management
- Present budgets to upper management on an annual or as needed basis
Administrator and Data Reporting
- Collaborate with Justice Involved staff on data collection and conduct program evaluation and reporting, and incorporate assessment results into planning and decisions that drive continuous service improvement
- Build and maintain current information about available resources to housing, employment and assistance for formerly incarcerated students that will promote student retention, success, and completion of academic goals
- Prepare material for contractual reporting and invoicing on grants and contracts

What you bring as a candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree, OR any combination of relevant education, training, and experience that indicates successful performance of the essential functions of the position. - Demonstrated experience working with the criminal justice systems or incarcerated populations
- Ability to transition between multiple work locations on a regular basis
- Experience with outreach, marketing, and/or participant recruitment
- Experience with successful cross agency collaboration
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word programs
- Time management, multitasking, and coordinating work outcomes/activities with multiple partners
- Demonstrated multicultural skills and knowledge of Social Justice and Gender Equity Framework
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an equitable and inclusive environment for all students/clients and ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Physical Requirements
- Typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office, encounters frequent interruptions throughout the workday, is regularly required to provide 1:1 support, present to small groups, and work at a computer exercising repetitive hand motion with or without reasonable accommodation.
