Responsibilities

Program and Team Management

  • Lead a diverse team of students, staff, interns to implement PAC’s mission and vision.
  • Oversee the management, coordination and administration of all PAC activities.  
  • Lead organizational planning, sustainability, and growth in alignment with PAC’s strategic plan.
  • Oversee budget development and review with the Administrative Analyst.
  • Hire, train, evaluate and provide leadership to direct reports, student interns, volunteers, and other employees as assigned.
  • Coordinate with PAC chapters to support and ensure that scope of work is met.
  • Innovate and build on current PAC programming to support participants and fulfill mission.

Development/Outreach

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with new public and private funders to support the PAC.
  • Collaborate on identifying, developing, and writing new grants, in coordination with the SDSU Foundation.
  • Strengthen and continue to grow relationships with current PAC funders and collaborate with ED and advisory board in identifying potential new funding streams.
  • Ensure all grant deliverables are met. Oversee grant reporting in coordination with the PAC team and PAC chapter sites.
  • Create a process for recruiting and engaging volunteers.
  • Identify opportunities to sell PAC exhibition books and artwork.
  • Design the PAC communications strategy and guide and oversee the communications coordinator in implementing this strategy.  
  • Develop new partnerships to grow awareness of PAC's work.
  • Visit prisons and meet with CRMs as needed to evaluate programming and strengthen CDCR partnerships.  

Operations

  • Oversee supervision and implementation of the PAC chapter model in partnership with the Executive Director.
  • Manage human resources and recruitment in coordination with university auxiliary.
  • Structure and lead the PAC’s main operations team to promote success.
  • Serve as partner to Faculty Leads at PAC chapter sites to support smooth program operations.
  • Ensure smooth internal systems (meetings, information technology, onboarding, training, staff supervision) and promote a positive and productive work culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administration work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in office or administrative environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience or knowledge about the criminal justice system and/or Arts in Corrections preferred.
