Wellesley College: Postdoctoral Fellow

Job Description

The postdoctoral fellow will work closely with local partners, organizers, advocates, activists, and artists in co-developing programs and advancing community-engaged projects to respond to carceral violence and reimagine safety.  The fellow will also teach one course per academic year (a total of two courses during the fellowship period) related to their interests in the arts, humanities, or humanistic social sciences.


This is a two-year postdoctoral fellowship which will begin in the 2023-2024 academic year. We invite applicants from the humanities and humanistic social sciences with expertise that includes but isn’t limited to critical carceral, anti-carceral feminist studies, abolition, transformative justice, community-engaged/community-accountable research and/or emancipatory research methods. Ph.D. completed or near-completion required.
