The theme that will guide the 13th NCHEP is: Close the Distance

The Alliance for Higher Education in Prison seeks to challenge the field of higher education in prison to think about the various ways in which we can use education to close the distance - between the inside and the outside, between each other, between career opportunities, between social mobility, between people and their families and communities, between access to resources, between safe and secure housing, between college inside a prison and college on a campus in the free world.
