Similarities

Antoine Boyce

Knox College

Illinois

Similarities often starts within yourself and moves outward.

Everything that makes us is energy described as power. Without
the scientific language of your community life devour's.

We possess a world containing all the common interest for itself
but denying our's. Human error frailties over depicting shades of
reflection, only drives focus to more deception.

Speaking a different combination of vocabulary confuses everyone's
next step with a question so we never see the whole connection.

We are truly one environment, controlling and influencing conditions
of consistent survival.

We all participate, groups of plants, animals, the way a star balances it's atmosphere.

If we begin to reflect that thought, I might suggest that death
would disappear.

It's a broad sense so separate the singularity.

There's only one foundation if you wipe away the community,

~

there's no clarity!

Artist Statement

Peace to you my name is Antoine Boyce. I am a spoken word Artist so my Performance is the best way to grasp my art. I try my best to write from my heart and deliver truth. I’m more of a universal thinker so I write and speak from that lens. Initially my poetry birthed from a place I went for serenity. Now it has grown to a position of me only to provoke thought to all those who come across my work. With this poem I want individuals to see themselves as not that but a part of collective growth
